About

Graduating college with a degree in biomedical science made me realized the need for science communicators to bridge between academia and the general public. I write stories about climate change, biology, engineering, and all those in between, focusing on how science impacts our everyday life and how it may shape the future.

I became a multimedia journalist to tell better stories and connect people to the world. By bringing the majestic coral reefs from underwater to the screen, I hope to raise awareness for our environment. By filming neuron firings, I hope to spark people’s interest in science.

As a Taiwanese-Canadian, I also report on stories from minority communities about culture, identity and social justice. I have produced short documentaries on the Parkland shooting’s toll on west-side-Chicago youth and how working VISA becomes the biggest obstacle for international students in chasing their dreams. Other documentaries that I worked on include CNBC series American Greed, Finding YingYing, The Last Strike, Veterans Coming Home, and others.

I’m currently based in Los Angelos and available for assignments on the west coast and beyond. I write for print, video, and social media. My writing is tailored to different outlets’ target audiences and social media platforms.
